I’m Sally, and I’ve been a marketer for over 15 years and lived on Auckland’s North Shore most of my life.  Our family has busy lives with school-aged children, running businesses, building a new home and making the most of living in this beautiful playground in Auckland.   Having grown up on a Farm, and had many roles in marketing from travel to Banks, I’m very comfortable marketing any product or service from agriculture to construction and services.  I hold an International Diploma in Sales also, and I know the intricate and critical link between marketing and sales – if one isn’t working then nothing you can do to improve the other will get the desired result!

I am a people person and I love meeting new people and learning about why they started their businesses. Marketing for small businesses is something I love doing because I know the amount of energy and passion that goes into making a business run effectively, and when we work with business owners we can get tangible results that often mean the difference between a business owner taking a couple of weeks off over Christmas in Fiji, or having to close the doors and get a job. Owners can sometimes feel confused as to how to communicate or integrate their messages throughout the business and to prospects and customers. I will help you to understand how to communicate from reception through to accounts and dispatch. It is so important to ensure everyone within the company are aware of how the brand and marketing is projected externally.

My favourite marketing

I enjoy the segmentation of marketing, the different generations of people, the who to target, why and how best to promote your business, brand and products to these people. Marketing allows us to be very creative – in how we think but also creating media that engages, and for the most part it is very easy using digital media to track how your marketing is performing. I love the various different industries of businesses, learning about them and what would the best way to contact and engage with their target markets.

I have worked with many businesses, both as a full time employee and as a contractor, working for myself. With this experience I have worked with a wide range of industries and companies both in NZ and London. I find my strength is I find out quickly who I need to work with in the business to get desired results. There are often experts within the business that can be ustilised to help drive marketing messages for campaigns/strategies and this alone can help bring the company’s marketing strategies to become a reality. I ensure are no surprises within sales, the contact centre, accounts etc… it is so important to do this to ensure the customer has a seamless experience whenever they make contact/make a sale with the company.
